Popular TikToker Peller and his associate, Bello Oladipo, have been arraigned before a Lagos Magistrate Court over their recent confrontation with police officers on Lagos' Coastal Road.
The charges stem from an incident on July 2 after Peller was stopped by police for allegedly driving a vehicle without a number plate.
According to reports, the TikToker told officers he had only recently purchased the vehicle, while the police insisted he accompany them to the station for further investigation.
The situation later escalated after Peller began recording the encounter. He subsequently alleged that officers became hostile, dragged his shirt, and pointed a gun at him during the incident.
According to the charge sheet, the defendants allegedly conspired to resist public officers, an offence punishable under Section 411 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State 2015.
They were also accused of obstructing ASP Agbede Victor and three other police officers in the discharge of their lawful duties, contrary to Section 117(1)(2) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State 2015.
The third charge alleged that the pair conducted themselves in a manner likely to cause a breach of public peace by threatening and recording police officers while they were carrying out their official duties.
Both defendants pleaded not guilty to all three charges.
The court subsequently granted them bail in the sum of ₦500,000 each, with two sureties. One of the sureties must be a blood relative, while both defendants were also directed to present two years' tax clearance certificates as part of their bail conditions.
The case has been adjourned for further proceedings.
